Fame and Fortune (w/Graham Coxon)
1970

The first Mission of Burma headlining show outside of North America was absolutely devastating. The Garage was full and the audience was absolutely up for it. Many familiar faces were there and Graham Coxon from blur played some great tunes as the dj for the night. The sound and lights were excellent and Bob Weston and Peter Prescott combined on the most memorable loop to date, “I fucked up the whole show!” The staff at the Garage were great and it was nice to find a promoter so far from home (Jodi from Mean Fiddler) who was a fan. As you can see, the set lists were among the best ever, and the performance may have been as well. Graham joined in on guitar for “Fame” and “1970” was the appropriate coda to send the kids down in the tube station at midnight. The only disappointment for me was that my Arsenal reference in the intro got no response.
